Bio

The Mutes (from mars) is a professional rock band powered by the creativity and passion of a group of incredible individuals. The musicians, writers and performers have a range of social and learning disabilities which nevers limits possibilities and potential of these six amazing rockers. The group prides themselves on being able to stand alongside other professionals in the rock community.

The Mutes have two shared goals: to rock audiences with the sheer awesomeness of their performance. Their second goal is to bridge gaps in how society perceives their community, and shatter deficit focused expectations. Their many achievements are a badge of pride for their whole community. It is their hope that this fosters greater understanding for this unique and valuable sector of our society.

The band members approach their music with great passion, skill, and commitment to overcoming the challenges their life situation may throw up. This is a great band in its own right; rocking crowds across the nation, and sticking it to the status quo!
