What do you get when you mix pure musical passion, profound musical ability, and a touch of rock chic that makes you want to go out and buy a pair of the tightest jeans imaginable…

Since forming somewhere in the vicinity of 2004 – The Midnight Youth have already attained a Best Song award and a 2nd place win from the 2005 Smokefree Rockquest, rocked the stage with established bands such as Opshop, Tadpole, Autozamm, The Have, Evermore, Goodnight Nurse, 48 May, Stylus and The Checks, an upcoming gig with NZ Icon The Exponents, and a fresh new single floating the airwaves under their budding rock star belts.
Rock, Classical, Jazz, Thrash Metal and Funk… a cocktail of diverse influences that give their sound a unique and extraordinary quality which is a refreshing addition to the kiwi music scene. Each member has brings their own distinctive style to the group… Scott’s vocal talent is strong, natural and defined; Simon has an innate guitar ability that is powerful, Matt has a distinct thick bass with his own developed ‘groove technique’ and Aidan’s drumming has a broad, dynamic resonance… combine all that with an impressive stage presence and a fast growing fan base, and you have nothing short of a winning combination.
Their single Friday Conversation premiered on ZM and is currently doing the rounds on the radio circuit. This song is melodically clear, lyrically beautiful, deep and meaningful – and unforgettable to say the least.
Great things can be expected from these talented boys… with their passion, ambition and drive taking the lead, The Midnight Youth are on their way to the top.

About Midnight Youth
They formed in 2006 while at Rangitoto College in Auckland with three members of the band competing in Rockquest with the band name Resonate. Jeremy Redmore and Nick Campbell joined the group in mid-2006 after their lead singer, Scott Franz, left due to creative differences.
In 2009 the band released their debut album, The Brave Don't Run, in New Zealand and Australia where it debuted at #2 on the NZ Top 40 Album chart. The album produced five singles - The Letter, All On Our Own, Learning To Fall, Cavalry and Golden Love. The later featured on US TV series One Tree Hill.
