Fundraiser 28/7
Posted: Sat Jul 8, 2006 8:36 pm
Jetset Lounge hosts a fundraiser for the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation Patient Support Division.

International Bass Celebrity foal30 says " the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation gig will raise money for an essiental community service. And the only thing I pride myself more on than my modesty is the countless hours of my time I put into CHARITY that I don't like to talk up".

Pru Etcheverry, Executive Director of the LBF says "the diagnosis of leukaemia can have far-reaching consequences for patients and their familes. The LBF provides assistance for people dealing with their illness and treatment, and provides support to getting back to a normal life through individualised patient support programmes, including counselling, educational booklets, support groups and financal support".

"The LBF recieves no Governmental funding, so the enthusiasm and work of our supporters like these Bands is invaluable, and ultimately makes our work possible". "We encourage members of the public too come along on the 28th to support the terrific people holding this event".

The LBF has a Support Services Co-ordinator in Christchurch.
