I watched Somersault perform as the opening band at Straightline's album release, i have seen them play quiet a few times, and they are quiet good (yes the bias is questionable as i know them and they are from the tron). These guys are in their late 20's early 30's they have a Christian aspect as the band members are Christian but while the songs are deep and spiritual they keep their 'God" per song ration quiet low which makes them great to listen to while chilling and contemplating life. But they are definetly not depressing, the drummer is highly animated and made the gig all the more amusing. The band as a whole is undeniably talented, Evan and Brett have great voices. The set was tight and i enjoyed sitting back and listening to this self-professed bendy-flexy pop rock.
A song i rate is 'Deny' its one of those Brooke Fraser type life songs that christians sing without throwing the complexities of religion at you.
