Jacqui's deep, silky tones are well known to most New Zealanders. While her voice became familiar in household's across the country through her work on the award winning Dear John advert, she is a session vocalist and successful recording artist in her own right.
She won the Jazz Album of the Year in 1985 with 'The Masquerade Is Over'. The album won acclaim and was highly rated by music writers and reviewers across the country. It received rapturous praise from respected US disk jockey Bob Coffee who played it regularly on his show.
The album features some of New Zealand's best known jazz musicians. Jacqui's second album broadens her scope beyond jazz. 'Kindred', released in 1991 has strong original material and rock and pop standards and features, as did her first album, the cream of this nation's musicians.
She and her husband Neil Hannan own Scoop de Loop recording studios in Mt Eden, Auckland.
