Melic are a four-piece kiwi band based in London, signed to Beatnik Geek Records (UK). Their sound is derived from an eclectic blend of musicians - fusing a funk-rock bassist, a classically trained pianist/saxophonist, a metal drummer and a singer/song-writer rock guitarist. The group formed late 2008 over in London and have since recorded three independent EPs and released their debut album 'An Hour To Anywhere' in Aug 2013. The 'Nowhere I'd Rather Be' music video aided the band to win 'Best Overall Band' in the UK Unsigned Awards 2012, run by Play Music Magazine(UK), following which the UK label, Beatnik Geek Records signed the band.
