Laconic Zephyr were a little surprised when a music review named them the regions cool rhythmic beats and brilliant harmonies. It became clear Laconic Zephyr's sounds have been building a buzz in the Taranaki Music scene since last year.

The band started in 2015 when singer/songwriter Joss Bines met Jason Olsson and Kama Antrobus. It became clear as a 5 piece that we had something worthwhile.

Band Members: Drummer Glenn Smith spiced up the rhythmic drum beats.The combination works well with Mark Bines and Jason Olsson on Guitar and Vocals. Joss Bines Lead Vocals/Bass and Kama Antobus Lead Vocals/Percussion bring a unique edge that defines the bands sound.

Excited with our sounds we will continue to lay down new songs. The band never anticipated the enthusiasm which critics and fans alike have found in our music. The song "Fly With Me" is featured on the Taranaki Music Sessions CD Compilation. "Fly With Me" was recorded at Creative Studios in New Plymouth.
