Two exciting solo artists, Thomston and October, will join the
upcoming Broods’
Conscious tour for the New Zealand July dates.
Both acts will join Broods at Christchurch’s Horncastle Arena on July 14, Auckland’s Vector Arena on July 15 and
Wellington’s Shed 6 on July
17.
Like Broods, Thomston is another exciting New Zealand artist creating a buzz on the world’s stage.
Sharing the same management company that launched Lorde, Thomston took the
music blog scene by storm when he leaked an experimental EP in 2014. The Argonaut EP followed
the same year, turning heads with industry tastemakers and becoming a
commercial success with millions of plays on online streaming sites. In 2015
his second EP Backbone was released to further support and critical praise. Thomston is a rising
star with big plans and puts on an exceptional live show.
October is a 19-year-old music school dropout from Auckland who writes, records and
produces her own music. Her dark pop sound draws on 70's post-punk attitude and
places it in in a modern, electronic setting with percussion driven and
synth-orientated beats. October's
debut EP Switchblade explores her reluctant transition into adulthood and her mourning of the few
remaining months of her teenage hood.
Tickets for the New Zealand Conscious tour are on sale now.
Broods release
their sophomore album, Conscious,
on June 24, featuring hit single Free.
