Scribe - Scribe Newsletter Interview
05 Nov 2007 // An interview by Shade
Scribe is one of the most prominent figures in the Aotearoa Hip-hop scene at the moment. He has just released his second album, 'Rhyme Book' which has been performing well on the NZ Album charts since it debuted four weeks ago at #4.
Here are his responses to our interview questions:
What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement would be my daughter.
What do you think could be done to make NZ music even better?
I think NZ music is pretty good already. One thing that disappoints me is that the videos never do NZ music justice. So I would say an increase of the NZ On Air funding for videos, which is currently $5000.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully in 5 years I will be running my own label and I will still be making music.
What is the best thing about making music?
The best thing is that it's what I love most and it's my job!
What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?
Believe in yourself and get a good manager who believes in you also.
