How do you describe Faster Pussycat Kill Kill’s music?
Rock n' Roll surfabilly with pop sensibillities.
How did you come up with the name Faster Pussycat Kill Kill?
Text warfare and I am quite a fan of Russ Meyers films - they are the tackiest B graders you could ever hope to come accross. Terrible films great band names.
What can we expect to see from Faster Pussycat Kill Kill over the next year?
Fpkk have been busy over the last month tracking a new album in the beautiful back country of Golden Bay. It will be released later this year in New Zealand and Australia - so hopefully a lot more touring/playing and drinking to come.
What inspired you to become a start Faster Pussycat Kill Kill?
A love of rockabilly, 60s Rock n Roll, great guitarists and hot car girls. Also jamming out with my flatmate.
What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?
Make sure you have good supportive friends in New Zealand and don't be afraid to be as different and uniquely Kiwi as you can be with your music. Also learn to deal with fustration.
What NZ musicians or bands would you like to see more of, and why?
We have seen and played with soooo many great kiwi bands that don't get much help financially or with exposure just because they are slightly different than what creative New Zealand/record companies want. This is a hard question as I have quite strong feelings that there should be a much greater and wider investment into our local music than there is and it should be a much fairer qualifying process. There is a lot of great Kiwi music suffering and I guess I would to see a lot more of it out there.
Who are your favourite NZ musicians/bands, and why?
The Accelerants, they were a great kiwi rock band in a time when there was not a lot of that sort of music circulating in the popular kiwi mainstream.
TrinityRoots, again just a great band of talented individuals who were an amazing act on record and live.
What will Faster Pussycat Kill Kill’s next release be?
Our freshly tracked 11 track album as yet untitled.....
Who would you most like to support live?
At the moment B.R.M.C - they are awesome!
What is your favourite NZ venue?
This is split down the middle for us, The Mussel Inn in Golden Bay and The Leigh Sawmill in Leigh. Great venues, great people and you get looked after - fantastic!
What is the best part of being a musician?
Creating music is a great calling, its healthy for your soul to do it. I love being able to make music and play it and play it to people, its awesome. Touring also, as you get to meet heaps of new people and see a bit of the World.
What is your most embarrassing on tour/gig moment?
There was that drunken moment in Port Chalmers where I took my shirt off and the gig finished on a nipple kissing moment.... ahhhh.... mmmmmm....yeah.
How do you keep in contact with your fans?
MySpace and Facebook are goodies for communicating and getting in touch, also we enjoy banter and heckles at the live shows.

Theres already been too many ;)
