MNZ Interview: Getting To Know You 001: Mark Derricutt
Brought to you by Will Stairmand from The Distorted Transmission, the 'Getting To Know You' series of videos has been created to introduce people who, in their own special way, make the music scene function. Bands usually get the limelight but without promoters, venue owners, studio engineers, photographers, videographers and the rest of the framework, we'd all be pointlessly jamming in garages forever.
This series heralds the unsung heroes of the scene. My first guest is Mark Derricutt - live gig photography veteran. Also a big thanks to my musician mates who rallied around to perform the reimagining of the the classic song Getting To Know You for this series. Sine Symonds for the vocals and Jared Tobin for the vocal recording, Lee Mallett for the guitar and bass and Jake Notton for his acting prowess in the intro video. Classic.

Thanks to some minor misunderstanding this interview turned out to be a double headliner, with representatives of both Demons of Noon and Infinity Ritual appearing to talk about their joint NZ tour. It only became clear they were from different bands as the interview progressed and it was pretty funny as it unfolded hahaha.
