MNZ Interview: Getting To Know You 012: Mark Petersen

Most people know Mark as the sound engineer that mixed at the Kings Arms in Auckland for over 2 decades, and more recently at Whammy Bar in K Rd. But not so many people are aware that he was the guitarist and second vocalist in the later years of the Flying Nun band Straightjacket Fits as well as other notable iconic NZ bands. He has toured the world. He has played the Big Day Out. He has recorded albums in Australia and America. A man with over 30 years of involvement with NZ music, he shares his stories with us.

Thanks to some minor misunderstanding this interview turned out to be a double headliner, with representatives of both Demons of Noon and Infinity Ritual appearing to talk about their joint NZ tour. It only became clear they were from different bands as the interview progressed and it was pretty funny as it unfolded hahaha.
