New Front Page!

Those of you with good attention to detail would have noticed that the front page of the website now looks a little bit different.

This little "upgrade" marks the start of a site-wide revamp, which will see many of our most popular areas upgraded over the next few weeks.

The aim here is to make the site easier to use and more appealing - the existing design is almost 5 years old!

At the moment it's kind of like a renovation job on an old student flat. We've got a new paintjob on the outside, but the inside is still a little worn and tired looking. But never fear, the builders, plasterers and painters are all busy at work tidying up the inside already!

We hope you like the new update and as always would appreciate any feedback you might have.

Thanks guys,

Adam, Lisa & The muzic.net.nz Team

Spacifix

Spacifix are a group of young New Zealanders writing and performing original music that is simply "world fresh". Full of colour, energy and theatre, these young entertainers defy comparison.

Formed 3 years ago as a high school band, Spacifix are New Zealand's youngest professional entertainers. Their commitment and dedication have earned them 1st place in the Smoke Free Pacifica Beats Rock Quest, a new television series, support from major sponsors such as Air New Zealand, and the ear of major record labels in the USA. Spacifix have an ambitious eye on the world stage - watch this space!

The following are answers to our interview questions:

What is your greatest achievement?

well we are still together it's gotta say something... lol... nah we definately have enjoyed going overseas and see that as highlights and achievements, also our fantastic album our TV show and the newest achievement our Pasific Music awards and LA telly awards.

What do you think could be done to make NZ music even better?

more radio play and more artists being signed... I guess its awesome at the mo though

Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?

overseas definately, have to be...

What is the best thing about making music?

Its something I love, and that what your create can be heard by others...

What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?

know your sound and brand and don't comprimise that but get an audience for your band and find passionate people to manage your passion.

Battle Circus

"With 2007 already seeing the band play club shows in Melbourne, rock festivals in Taiwan, and soon another Australian tour supporting art-rock vanguards The Red Paintings, Battle Circus have spent any downtime back in Auckland putting the finishing touches on their David Holmes (Jakob, Gramsci)-produced debut EP.

Upon it's release in September, Battle Circus will unveil a new video (their first since the animated epic "Utopium" released earlier this year) before again hitting the road for a national tour- taking the songs and intricate production (along with some special guests) of their debut record to audiences throughout New Zealand, before continuing their travels overseas.

Next year is sure to have an even stronger international focus for the band, with more trips to Asia, Australia, Europe and the U.S, and eventually the recording of a full-length album."
