Omega - Red Neck Timaru

03 Feb 2006 // A review by Omega Cane
The band "Omega" resently played at Shed 101 (Timaru) and after the bands 2nd song "Lovecide" the owner had told them to get off stage ( typical Red Neck scene) even though the band got told to get off stage lead singer Needless Cane decided to get back up again and with the band they had performed their song Red Neck City (of course dissing Timaru) now instead of the crowd getting offended they liked that song (guess their not that bright in Timaru)

About Omega

Omega is an Industrial Metal Blues Rock band and a few Gothic overtones thrown into their music, consiting of 3 members: lead Vocals and Guitar Needless Cane, Bass and Keyboards Zion Saquaria and drummer Alan Degenerate. The band played at the 2004 RockQuest Timaru Heats and Finals and also at the Outlaws Battle of the Bands 2005.

They are all from Timaru and they have been playing together for 4 years, they are one of the most original and theatrical acts in Timaru and should be seen live, as the atmosphere of their live scene itself, is a force to be reckoned with. Needless Cane has one of the most unique voices ever known and just the way he writes his lyrics is out of this world, Zion's skill in the keyboards is another out of this world sound for she had been playing them since she was at the age of 3.
