With the cold, dark and wet winter hanging around, dDub’s tour is definitely one of the best remedies around to kill those winter blues. Kicking it off in Auckland labelled the Comfort tour, the band are touring Aotearoa this June and July to promote their music video Comfort. Playing songs from their addictive album Awake At Dawn and 3 fresh tunes; dDub's live performance was impressive and fruitful.

Opening with I See A Sign - a vibrant, lively dub tune started fans moving. No Smoke was heard midway through the gig; a passionate song with a Latin/Hispanic influence. Give It Some included a captivating solo by drummer Tala Ofamo’oni, topped off with an encore, the Comfort gig was both satisfying and enriching. Main vocalist and gifted song writer D.W. Brownes' down to earth lyrics were complimented with a harmonizing trio on the Sax, Trombone and Trumpet.

An energetic and jovial concert experience at Sub Nine in Wellies - although not as many fans as I expected for Wellington - but the best of us were there to take in the melodious performance.

After a long awaited album and playing at numerous events throughout NZ, the band is touring Aussie, Europe and Japan next year. We can expect to see great things from dDub, who will soon become a household name.

The largest New Years Eve Celebration in New Zealand, Rhythm and Vines chose dDub to take the 13,000 strong crowd into 2008.
