Kitsch - Gig Review - Valve Bar, 8 Sep 07
01 Oct 2007 // A review by CEOMong
Kitsch took the stage around 1am, opening with their blistering radio-friendly anthem “Memory Of Me”. The crowd was immediately owned, and rocked out hard to the too-short 30-minute set, filled with explosive riffs and catchy lyrics. Some members of the choir launched themselves on stage to help out – also contributing to Sam’s liquid intake through generous helpings of spit in the mike. Kitsch pumped out a solid hard out set, and followed up with a reluctant but hearty encore, accompanied all the while by the cheering masses deluging the band with adoration. Kitsch’s 10-year history was patently obvious from their professionalism and pure enjoyment of the gig. A fantastic gig I would not hesitate to repeat.
