Formed as a three piece of music school acquaintances, you can trust Man Of The World to know how to make music right. Wearing their influences on their sleeve, their album On Edge shows that they know just the right progressions to make your ears feel good and are as accomplished at Reggae as they are old school Dire Straits.
The music is… bubbly. Feel good and easy listening are probably more recognised descriptions. For a person who takes his morning coffee with a tablespoon of melancholy, and his toast lathered with despair the upbeat pop of it all is not something I’m accustomed to, but there is nothing wrong with that. Every now and then everyone needs a bit of a pick me up and to rediscover that joie-de-vivre.
And although I'm a long-suffering curmudgeon, I know a great many people that would be partial to Man Of The World's On Edge. Any X-Factor or the Voice fans out there, and anyone who liked pop before hip-hop and music-to-twerk-to became the new pop, will find this right up their alley.
They know the theory, they’ve got the songs. Now all that’s left for Man Of The World to do is get out there and show the rest of the country / world who they are.
You can find Man Of The World’s music on their SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/nilbogdevilsdrink). I also recommend checking out their Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/Eazy84listener/videos). While for the most part lacking any Man Of The World originals, the Youtube is home to some handy guitar tutorials and covers with the distinctive Man Of The World flavour.
