Violet Highway - Single/Video Review: Desire
20 Jul 2016 // A review by Kerry MB
Violet Highway is an up and coming, infectious Auckland band with some seriously swag sounds and a cool look to boot. In their latest single,
Desire, depicting a night in the lift of a lone Taxi driver (or Uber driver!) lead vocalist, Jacqui Munro trying her best to mostly tune out the various scenarios happening in the backseat of her passengers. All in a night's work of a taxi driver. The video is simple, yet perfectly suited to the song's absolute swag bluesy rock sound, harmonies and steady tempo.
Violet Highway is a a trio that really do put an edge to their blues infused sound and
Desire is really only the tip of the iceberg with how talented they all are.
Desire, the video and song is more than worth a few shares and listen and I'm excited to see what is on the horizon for them all. Stay tuned.

They match passionate lyrics with catchy melodies and powerful instrumentation.
