Auckland Rapper, Songwriter and Producer Imagine This has released his latest single That Feeling from his up coming album The Next Wave. Described as "A perfect blend of Middle Eastern traditional instruments and modern 808-influenced electronica", this is a creative track with an International flavour that flows beautifully (almost trance like), but with rich bass and beats which would be at home on BBC Radio 1 (he has been a regular on their playlist).

I am no stranger to EDM, and Imagine This manages to "effortlessly bridge boundaries between hip-hop, trap, glitch, ghetto funk and house".  I agree he certainly does manage to intertwine many sub-genres of EDM into one intelligent, creative dance track (4.53). 

Don't expect any massive beat drops, it is there, but it is not a banger. I didn't get the vibe this track was about that, more a combination of his heritage with a slick, hypnotic yet upbeat perhaps mainstream (as opposed to underground) experience. A journey through sound and light is a vision I felt when I listened to this.

This is smart rap. No doubt about that.

I can certainly hear why Imagine This has a busy International touring presence, I can understand why he gets air time on the likes of George, and has numerous collaborations with various local and international artists. This gem will continue to make his presence felt on the world stage.
