Ain't Slowin' Down is the latest single by Hip-Hop/RnB artist Sam V and it's a brilliant release, especially considering he's only 22.
Sam V has been super busy in the studio, having released two albums and nine videos in recent times. Ain't Slowin' Down shows the world what he's made of and it features two different styles of rap by MC's Juwan and bKIDD. The song starts off with a skit saying, "get off my property", the beat drops and Sam's voice starts singing about hitting the club. Sam's rapping style is very melodic and he has a great singing voice. The bass line on this track is very catchy and tidy - it has that 2000's feel.
There's a with a bunch of mates and rappers on the cover photo sitting around an old Mazda 323 shell. It's a great photo shot, and the accompanying music video further reflects on it. The tune has a great flow, The mix and arrangement of all of the instruments sound clear, concise and to a high standard. Sam V has funky vibe going on this one, and I'm keen to hear more tunes going forward.
