Deprivacy is the one man metal act of musician, Robbie Scott, hailing from Christchurch.
If that name doesn’t sound familiar; don’t worry, it soon will be if this EP if anything to go by.
Drawing inspiration from a host of influences from bands such as Machine Head, Trivium and Slipknot, it’s obvious that Robbie is a man of many talents and he's doing things his way.
Straight off the bat this 3-track EP is powerful, full of melody and above all else, it's unique. Robbie’s vocal style sounds like no other and all the tracks have a great delivery and polished production from the start through to the finish.
What I love the most about these tracks is how Robbie's own style and interpretation of the genre he loves really shines through, and I’m sure it could captivate any audience on the first listen.
If you dig heavy riffs, fantastic percussion and vocals that show a range from melodic to guttural screams, then you need this in your collection now.
I can’t wait to see what else is on the horizon for Deprivacy.
