End of an Empire is a Wellington four-piece who know a thing or two about creating good music, especially for a band that has just released their debut album.
With an experimental thrash, hardcore metal sound, Within Without contains ten tracks that has thought, balance and integrity all rolled into its twenty-five minutes.
Starting with a real head banger of a tune, The Feeling, the guys, made up of Sam Coates (vocals) Hamish Dobbie (guitar) Rowan Miller (bass) and Lyle Jasper (drums) sound like they have great musicianship and know what it takes to hold audiences in the palm of their hands, either on record, or on stage. Vocally, Sam Coates has a natural cadence and combined with strong instrumentation, Within Without is a pretty solid and powerful debut.
With each track bringing something different to the table, it’s hard to pick just one, but if anticipation is what you’re feeling then skip ahead to track 8, Blessed Are - it's a great little stunner. I Won’t Go Into The Night is also a cool mosh pit starter that you may want to also put on repeat.
If you need some quality hardcore back in your life with the absence of live music right now, you won’t regret giving this debut a spin. Well done guys and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

They play loud music, but are fairly nice chaps.
