Papaioea’s own proponent of live electronic dance music Researchintospeed has just dropped a new track and accompanying video, Anode. As part of the stand-alone electronic work of Craig Black, Anode was added to his expanding electro catalog over lock down.
As a lover of the dance floor and all its party people Researchintospeed mixes it up, blending techno, electro, house and ambient both here in NZ and overseas.
The style of EDM on this track is of the old school hardware techno variety, it has a gentle ambient flow with a techno beat incorporating synths and drum machines to create just a nice amount of gentle deep bass to penetrate your bones.
In contrast to some of his previous recordings, this has vocals which he said is a "return to my electro emo roots, it’s a kind of a heartfelt tribute to the people who make sure there’s a safe place to return home to, even when you’ve had 5 too many and lost your phone at 4 am…"
The production and sound is clean and tight. Sharp, cohesive visuals combined with warm bass and chill atmospheric synth.
