And$um - Single Review: Ride The Wave Feat. Valle

26 Jun 2021 // A review by Ben Ruegg

I’m a big fan of Hip-Hop - I teach it at school to my students. Hip-Hop is about being real and it has an honest vibe to it. The new track from And$um, Ride The Wave, definitely has that.

Starting with horns and moving into a nice beat that is backed up by a phat baseline, it has a classic Hip-Hop sound that I love grooving along to.

Both verses are smooth. The flow is real and well delivered. Lyrically, it's on topic, speaking of real life in the real world. And$um and featuring artist Valle complement each other, yet they are confident in making it known that their wordsmith skills and delivery are not fake - and this is something you can really pick up on. This track is not cocky or over-hyped; it’s just two MCs being themselves.

Ride The Wave is another great track that should be added to your playlists.

Rating: ( 4 / 5 )
