Sylvee - Single Review: Slow
Sylvee’s latest single Slow is an impassioned love song dedicated to supporting someone beloved through struggles with their mental health. Featuring the artist’s signature soft, introspective vocals and honeyed melodies, it’s a dreamy release soothing listeners in the toughest of times.
Slow is produced subtly, with gentle keys and background noise filling out what lies beneath Sylvee’s important lyrics. She expresses a deep-set personal anxiety and care for the song’s subject. It’s all built around a smooth chorus which flows with tight, clean rhymes, stunningly beautiful in their simplicity. Producer Joel Zaia clearly knows how to stage the track so that Sylvee remains front and centre.
