The Infinity Chamber is the brain child of musician, Dylan Paul Ware, a Kiwi currently based in Turkey.
His blend of alt-rock, dark indie-folk jams is uniquely his own with some solid influential sounds thrown in for good measure.
Nothing is his latest single (with accompanying video) and straight off the bat, I love its simplicity lyrically, emotionally and visually. Nothing is literally about a woman who talks too much and a long-suffering writer. That’s it. No cryptic meaning or open to interpretation here, and I like that.
The single is the opening track off the eponymous album and lyrically the irony is not lost here. It has some soft yet dark tones and some nice tempo changes though it never strays far from its brooding yet enticing style.
Visually, the video is fitting too. The long-suffering writer for the most part fed up with the constant conversing by a woman, seemingly he is never able to get a word in or get lost in his thoughts. But, there is something else there. Glimmers of an invisible connection, appreciation or is it lust? appropriately without words and at the end, resignation (at least from his perspective)
What I like most about it is its deliberate delivery. There is honesty and depth without it becoming too long winded. I have a feeling that a lot of that is a reflection of whom Dylan Paul Ware is.
A great hidden gem to find.
