Coast Arcade - Gig Review: Coast Arcade @ The Tuning Fork - 09/03/24

14 Mar 2024 // A review by Chloe Tredgett

Coast Arcade put on an incredible show on Saturday night with openers Double Parked and Fan Club.

The eager crowd arrived early with a long line outside before the doors opened. Starting off the night was Fan Club. For being such a young band, they had a great stage presence and really knew how to get the crowd moving. Their set was a great way to open the night and bring the energy to an amazing night of music ahead.

Next up was Double Parked who had everyone absolutely buzzing. The energy from each member was so fun and really amazing to watch. They have such a tight bond that really shines when they’re on stage. Starting off with Dazey then leading into their new single Leopard Print Coat they performed incredibly and seemed very excited to play their new song live. Everyone reacted to it so well with their new lyrics being sung back to them.

Finally, Coast Arcade took to the stage and the crowd was so pumped. Singing every word and cheering in between they loved every minute of it. I have seen Coast Arcade a few times now and they just get better and better with every show. The way Bella interacts with the impressively large crowd is so effortless and really makes an impact. Their set had a great mix of their fan favourites which everyone knew and some unreleased ones which the crowd had a great reaction to.

During the set each member played incredibly and really blended together well. They all moved around the stage a lot, interacting with each other which makes the show so entertaining. When they got to the ‘final’ song of the night they hadn't even left the stage before the crowd started chanting “ONE MORE SONG!!”. Suggestions were being yelled from the audience and they listened. They did their iconic cover of Kilby Girl by The Backseat Lovers, and the energy was immediately picked back up. Everyone was loving it whilst dancing and singing along. No one wanted the night to end.
