New Scribe album due in October Posted: Thu Jul 26, 2007 10:40 am New Zealand hip hop star Scribe is set to release his long-awaited second album later this year. A statement from his record company Dirty Records said the Christchurch rapper's second album Rhyme Book in October, and his first single from the album would be related next month. It is nearly four years since the release of Scribe's first album 'The Crusader', which went on to sell more than 180,000 copies in Australasia. 'The Crusader' spent 75 weeks in the New Zealand top 40. His single, 'Stand Up'/'Not Many' spent 10 weeks at No 1, a record for a New Zealand artist. SCRIBE IZ NZ HIPHOPS FUTURE Posted: Mon May 28, 2007 1:34 pm scribe is da future of hiphop u people that dont respect him and hu dont like rap u dont care but if your hardcore into it u will no what i mean coz its so hard to make it big in nz and look what hes done like he says follow your dreams cos only u kan make them come true. and i respect that not simply because hes a rapper but also because he made it big in nz and auzzie and he writes rymes alot of rappers dont e.g 50 cent mostly raps abot babes guns and phat rides wea as scribe is sorta like eminem and 2 pac and raps about his life and puts his love and anger into his lyrics and i used to be a rock lover untill i heard scribe then i started listing to dr dre snoop dogg 2 pac eminem e.c.t and hav future plans on becoming a rapper the guy made me look foward to making a dream come tru and im going to one day i swear and i kant b tha only 1 in nz hu feels the same way so yes SCRIBE IS THE FUTURE OF HIPHOP IN NEWZEALAND |

My cousin brought me the crusader home from NZ last year and it spends more time in my stereo than any other disc I own, He's the shiznit I can't believe he hasn't gone more worldwide...It's crazy. Anyhow I'm hoping someone can give me a lead on any other releases by the scribble. As you can imagine other than the net it's pretty hard to find anything on him over here. thanx. |

But out here in the states he aint going to make squat he might get a chance to play at some local bar but thats about it....see scribe is only one rapper that made it big out there but thats it..out hurr in america you got a grip lode of rappers that are raw..we got rappers from the WEST,MED WEST,EAST SIDE,SOUTH SIDE NORTH SIDE....and all the underground rappers out there....scribe is just a little girl if he was to match up with the rappers out here....i aint hating on him but he just wont be big out hurr sorry to bust yo bubble but its the truth......besides NZ rap is fake anywas...yall talk about stuff that yall aint been through or did.....in the states everything you hear is what really happend....so dont act like scribe the next big thing cuzz he aint....SORRY |
