Siren Junkies (formerly Sonic) have supported some of New Zealand's big acts, such as Goldenhorse, Goodshirt, Anika Moa, Nathan Haines and Breaks Co-Op, and gig in the Auckland area at a variety of venues (Kings Arms, Dog's Bollix, Studio, R'totos and the Masonic to name a few).
Their first recorded music video for their debut single 'Sensible' [Independent Film Company of New Zealand, with producer Ivan Slavov] is currently getting airplay on TV2, has appeared as a Coke Fresh From the Fridge single and has had airplay on C4 as well. The video was self-funded.
Their second video for the song 'The Gift' was released on the 25th of February 2005. This was made in conjunction with the South Seas Film & TV School.
The band has just released its third video for their song 'Elevator' in March 2006. It has been described as "a riot of floor pounding WWF style action", and is getting television airplay on C4, Juice, Alt TV, XSTV and Maori Television. The song 'Elevator' was picked as a finalist in the DB Export Gold Ignition Competition and was quoted by amplifier.co.nz as being "a storming opening track on their EP Blonde".
In 2005 Siren Junkies released their four track EP 'Blonde'. Rip it Up Magazine (April/May 2005) reviewed 'Blonde' and were quoted as saying "… some of the catchiest, hook-filled songs you will hear all year…".
Siren Junkies has a number of articles already published on the band. In North & South Magazine, the In Unison Magazine, Reaktor Magazine and online at amplifier.co.nz and NZ Musician Magazine. The band has been interviewed on XSTV and Maori Television, with future scheduled interviews coming up on C4, ALT TV, Juice TV, and XSTV.
In February 2006, Siren Junkies bass player, Amos Clarke and lead vocalist, Nikki Hartnett-Clarke were nominated at the Rock Factory Music Awards, held at the Studio in Auckland. Nikki went on to win the Best Female Vocalist of the Year Award for 2005.

New Zealand band SONIC selected for NXNE, Canada Posted: Sat Mar 4, 2006 5:16 pm Auckland rock/pop outfit SONIC has been invited to play at Canada’s prestigious NXNE Music Festival in Toronto this June. SONIC was selected from thousands of acts world-wide, to take part in this 3 day musical extravaganza. SONIC are just about to release their 3rd music video, for the song Elevator – a relentless riot of high energy, band performance and WWF style action. They are also working hard on completing their debut album, due out mid 2006. Watch Out for Sonic Video on C4 Posted: Sat Jan 22, 2005 12:28 am "The Gift" Video is due to be released on C4 around the end of Januaury. I can't wait to see and hear it. This is so exciting!
