Slipstream is a four-piece Christchurch band delivering a broad spectrum of original music including melodic ambience, open kiwi sonic soundscapes, and adrenalin-dricen electric overload.
In 2003 the band established itself as one of Christchurch’s premiere live acts, playing regular gigs at the Dux de Lux & Jetset Lounge, plus the University of Canterbury Orientation and End of Lectures Festivals. Competing in and winning the 2002 RDU 'Round Up' competition, with a lineup of 24 unsigned local bands was a highlight for the year.
Slipstream’s first release 'Go Back Home' was recorded and produced independently by the band and got good airtime on RDU as well as featuring on the 2003 BRAT 3 compilation 'Marvin'. The band has been working on an EP with songs from their live set.
Band Members:
