King Of The World
I knew a man called Dave, sat by himself in the park everyday and he schemed about how he could, rise to the top as he had in his dreams, Dave had what it took, go the girls and the look. But one night by himself in his flat on the twelfth his heart stopped and he dropped to the ground.
There was a boy called Dan he grew up a material born man in a house full of wealth had love for his cash but not much else. So many envy Dan, his yellow Porsche and his bottle tan, but all the money in the would couldn't fill the gap like he thought it could.
If you're the king where's your crown
If you're the king take another look 'cause we all fall down'
You're the king of the world ya know
Why's you're tyre flat huh?
You're the king of the world ya know that's where the contradictions at
We have a thing called hope, and where you place yours only you know
I thought that I lived every day, thought my life couldn't be changed
But I was blind, there's power to be had, not my yourself, but by his hands
And now my hope isn't here, my blinded eyes begin to clear!!!
What've we become, blinded by the sun
Look beyond your wealth, search beyond yourself
