Down On The Street Posted: Fri Jul 1, 2005 1:53 pm Stingfish’s Down On The Street EP was recorded at Inca Productions in Wellington with the help of legendary producer Mike Gibson, whose past work includes the likes of Shihad, Fur Patrol, Letterbox Lambs, and the Phoenix Foundation. The laid back summer-time feel of the EP opener One-eyed lulls the listener into a false sense of security before the intensity of Opinionated with its ‘punch in the face’ guitars and a ‘rhythm section that kicks you in the nuts’ takes control. The songs are simply about people, ranging from innocent bystanders to taxi drivers, the homeless and lazy co-workers. The EP is available at Stingfish's EP Release Gig at Valve in Wellington 15th July 2005, at following gigs and at select retailers TBA. |
