Fifth Story was formed three years ago in a practice room on Auckland’s North Shore. On what was to be a fateful day, vocalist Andre Lemberg turned up to audition for the band of friends Ian Oliver (drums), Michael Oliver (bass guitar), and Simon Howe (guitar).

There was instant chemistry, the band started rehearsing furiously, finding that good songs came easy, and that there were no compromising factors in the band – each member is able to draw from their own influences. These influences range from Pantera to Cold Play and this culminates in an original, interesting, but also groove based hard rock sound!

Fifth Story have now disbanded.
