Kelvin Cummings is an accomplished Dunedin based singer/songwriter who has made a name for himself as an entertainer. Going out as a solo musician, part of the highly energized “Idol Frets” Dunedin based duo, as well as various stage and screen organisations. This entertainer has acting/musical appearances on New Zealand television networks, plus international film projects.

Kelvin's delighted to actor/direct stage musicals with several societies. His onstage experience includes Enjolras (Les Miserables), Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Danny Zuko (Grease), Willard Hewitt (Footloose), The Arbiter (Chess), plus various major/minor roles in MTD's Roger De Bris (The Producers), Snowboy (West Side Story), Galileo Figaro (We Will Rock You – Encore), as well as performing in the world premiere of Rush. His directing credits includes the NZ high school musical “For Today”.
By day, he is HOD Music at EOHS. By night, he wows crowds with the highly energised NZ dance covers 2-piece band “Idol Frets”.
He is quite the jet setter, spending a lot of his time out of town in various locations throughout the world (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, …), but would always come home to Dunedin to help promote the growth of music in New Zealand.
