Lurking in the 'deep south' (so you don't have to!) The Lurk are continually writing new material of a varied, and always wry/amusing nature. School friends Lachlan and Jon started bringing their bad name to cool in a Balclutha woolshed in 1988 with such bands as Zombie Bloodsplatter and Pus Transfusion. After a stint in the dying Dunedin music scene of the early 90's (in Isolation Backlash) they went their seperate ways long enough to realise that there really isn't anything like Rock 'N Roll. Now older, and still unaware of the phrase: "Just give up!", they have produced a catalogue of well over 100 tracks. The songs found on this site are only a taster until the psychiatric goodies kick in long enough to cope wih getting a better representation of their material uploaded.

In the meantime Jon continues perennial musician in the Invercargill of the South, while Lachlan works with his impressive bee collection as an apiarist (beekeeper) in Balclutha.

The band have just released their Limited Edition Debut EP.
