Kalibre

Bio

About 2 years ago from this present time Kalibre formed in the small South Island town of Rangiora. We started as a small time 3 piece high school band in the small facilities of Rangiora New Life School.

We started out practising in a small storage room that has now been converted into 3 toilets, we've had tonnes of support from the school especially Ange Pearson from the music department. We've had our ups and downs, like the day we got locked in that practise room! In the end we smashed a hole in the wall and stuck a hand through and opened it.

Since the start of this year Kalibre has really taken off. We've been asked to play at various places throughout Christchurch, mainly places like Zebedees, Youth Groups and Churches around the place. We also entered Rock Quest. We thoroughly enjoy playing in front of even some of the smallest crowds. Kalibre is a mix of Punk Rock but mainly Punk. Our goal is to go get signed to a major record label and basically go and entertain our fans.
