The Devil Talks To Me Every Day
Intro
The devil talks to me every day and sometimes I listen
And that’s when I can go astray and my conscience, it goes missin’
Now I don’t go looking for trouble, but it finds me anyway
And when I wake up in the mornin’, there’s a price I’m gonna pay
I don’t wanna be no bad-luck charm, evil to the core
So when the devil talks to me again, I’m gonna kick him out the door
My will is weak sometimes for sure, I’m easily persuaded
I used to be so innocent but my good side now has faded
The straight road that I used to tread has split in two directions
But when the devil talks to me I feel such strong connections
I don’t wanna be his good-time girl, ‘coz I can’t take no more
So when the devil talks to me again, I’m gonna kick him out the door
Lead Break
So listen people hear my plea, and pay heed to my warning
If the devil talks to you at night, you’ll be sorry in the morning
He creeps into your inner thoughts and tells you all is well
But when you wake up later, y’know you’re gonna feel like hell
So do yourself a favour now, I beg you and implore
When the devil talks to you again, you should kick him out the door
