Bio

The Highlanders are a group of 7 friends who come from Wainui, Lower Hutt, Mana, Raumati and Paekakariki. They all share an interest in the Folk Metal genre.

The Highlander's music is melodic, but heavy with plenty of catchy rifts and lead breaks. They have a unique blend of instruments which include, two lead guitars, bass, drums, saxphone and tin whistle, Violin and Ben Paulsen's vocals are powerful and medieval.

"We are now a mix of more than just Folk Metal, we have also got Black, Death, Melodic, Celtic, Nordic and Progressive genres in our music."
