Solaa Update Posted: Sun Jul 15, 2007 12:34 pm Sugarlicks is proud to announce the release of Solaa's remix EP (featuring remixes from Beatlicks, Nicolay & Recloose), which has hit the shelves globally in the last 3 weeks and will do so in NZ next Monday. The EP is also available on digital networks worldwide and amplifier in NZ. The release comes on the back of Solaa's sold out tour with Shapeshifter in Australia and glowing reviews of their debut album "Steps in Time" both in New Zealand and abroad... "Quality kiwi soul!" - Mr Scruff (UK, May 2006) "With Steps in Time, Solaa have created a beautifully eclectic blend of jazz, funk, soul and hip hop that is a delight to listen to" - Out of Hand (UK, December 2006) "There's a deep, cosmic polish that makes each number shine and segue into each other with the laid-back class I've come to associate with New Zealand bands these days" - iDJ, (UK, December 2006) "'Steps in Time' is not only diverse, it's deep, pretty and wholly engaging. One for the nu-soul heads" - DJ, Vol 04 No 30 (UK, January 2007) Solaa have also just released a video for album track "Sylphlike" (a NZ alt radio #1) which is also sitting at #1 on the amplifier album charts - view the video and all band details at www.solaa.com Pacific Soul Music live & direct!! |
