If your fist is in the air while jolting your head up and down non stop, with an engrossed look on your face followed by your mouth hanging wide open; you must be listening to the well-respected and forceful punk band Full Nelson. Full Nelson emerged from the ashes of other popular bands such as Bite The Curb, Smooth Jimmies, and Deja Voodoo.
Their first EVER show was a memorable one with kiwi punk rock legends The Bleeders @ Brewers Bar, Tauranga. This was just the start to a series of kick arse shows which have seen the lads play with international heavy-weights such as: Most Precious Blood, Lagwagon, MadBall, Terror, Strung Out, Death by Stereo, and NOFX. And if playing with their punk rock heroes wasn’t enough the band also supported Blindspott on their ‘End The Silence 2007 Tour’, and supported Blindspott and The Bleeders on ‘FTW New Years 2007 Tour’.
Their enthusiasm and passion for the raw punk music they produce has made quite an impact on the underground hardcore/punk scene and has already earned them a large fan base up and down the country. Their talent has not gone unnoticed with the band being signed to Deadboy Records with distribution through Universal Records.
Full Nelson has developed a distinctive, hard-hitting, gruff sound that has pleased the crowds and impressed the crew. The first single Wash It Away off their upcoming EP Medicine is an example why people are starting to sit up and take notice of this band and as to why it is bound to become a punk rock anthem! The song features guest vocals by Cobra Khan front-man Milon Williams, who also helped produce the album.
"Full Nelson are of a particularly fine punk rock pedigree… the West Auckland punk/hardcore act are surely one of our most promising prospects of the genre for 2007" - NZ Musician, April/May 2007
