Singer Wallace Gollan has been described as having a mature sultry tone, and she is backed by a band of tight musicians, featuring screaming saxophone and wailing guitar. The band has been playing together since 2006 in various incarnations and members of the band have played at the botanical gardens ‘ASB Gardens Magic’ series, and the New Plymouth ‘Festival of the lights’ in 2007. With a sound similar to a mix of Sly and the Family Stone, The New Power Generation and Jamiroquai, Groove Generation is a band with a versatile, exciting new sound.
