After only 2 New Zealand gigs to their name, Gerda Blank, a.k.a Rhys Braddock and Stu Mills, took off on a self-organised summer tour of Europe in July 2008, taking in Spain, Bosnia, Croatia, Czech Republic, UK and Serbia. Based now in Brno, Czech Republic, they have been flattening European audiences with their mesmerising and often chaotic sets, injecting an infectious energy into any room they seem to occupy.

This year sees them playing some large festivals around Europe, the Mighty Sounds Festival (with the Buzzcocks headlining) and the O2 Sazava Festival (headlined this year by Moby). They will also be doing a few dates with fellow kiwis Batrider in Chemnitz, Germany, Prague and Brno in the Czech Republic.

They are just finishing off a new E.P "Numbers" they recorded in Brno which will be available from I-Tunes and in New Zealand as a limited edition E.P in the near future.

The next few months will see them working on a new album. GERDA BLANK will be back in New Zealand in December for a national tour but will be based in Europe indefinitely as the climate seems to suit them nicely. Their current European dates are:
