Originating from the North Island this singer/songwriter, Amanda Goodwin's her unique modern funk/soul styling has become renowned as one of the highlights of the vibrant Dunedin music scene.
Her dedication to music was evident from her early years, with her first original performance at the of age 8 in a school chamber concert band, she has continued to grow as an artist and has been part of some highly regarded bands, including being the leading female vocalist in Dunedin's premier Soul band, Soul Deep. She has unexpectant soul and power in her voice. And her passion and love for music can be seen in every performance.
With soul music as her main driving force and influence, her first single Tell Me If This Is Love is a smooth blend of soulful easy listening music and youthful lyrics. It was produced by Joe Setefano and Recorded in Sweetway Studios in Southland.
She is currently performing with the band The Mighty Mightys, which features some very polished seasoned musicians including James Davey (guitar), Scott Brown (bass), Joe Setefano (guitar) and Simon Barr (drums).
