The new Leonard single 'The New Claire Swire' will feature on the latest NZ On Air Hitdisk to be released to radio stations soon.

This is the 3rd successive Leonard single to feature on a NZ On Air compilation, with their previous single 'Looking Up' appearing as the lead track on a previous Heatseeker Indie Hitdisk, and their debut radio track 'Paul Weller' being included on an earlier Kiwi Hitdisk.

All 3 tracks feature on their debut album 'An Implied Desire', which is available right now!

NZ On Air have approved a video grant for 'The New Claire Swire' to coincide with Leonard's album release and radio play listing.

The first single from Auckland band Leonard's debut album is to be released to radio early next week.

'The New Claire Swire' is apparently "a tale of modern curiousity" and features the lyrics of the album title 'An Implied Desire'.

With the help of an NZ On Air grant, an accompanying video clip is currently in production. The new album is launched on 1 May 03 at the Kings Arms.

Thanks to bands.co.nz for the following..

Following the success of their two EP's (which included the singles 'Paul Weller' and 'Looking Up') Leonard are stoked to be releasing their debut album on May 1st 2003.

After about a month of recording and mixing with Andrew Buckton at Studio 203, this entirely self funded and fully independent album called 'An Implied Desire' will be officially released at the Kings Arms on the first day of New Zealand Music month.

The first single from the album will be released to radio soon, so keep an eye out for it.
