Bio

The Friendly Barnacle began as a solo project for Warner Emery, which was realized in 2006/2007, when he completed recording and mixing his debut album ‘The Tides’ in his home studio ‘The Crows Nest’.

In 2008 ‘The Tides’ was released through the Stink Magnetic record label. In order to perform the songs a band was formed. This comprised of Lee Prebble (Lead Guitar), Poppy SinclairLockhart (Bassist) and Sophie Burbery (backing vocalist, keyboardist, percussionist, band manager). Andrew Bain (‘Fur
Patrol’) also played bass for a number of months while Poppy was overseas.

In 2010 'The Robot' EP was released. This was recorded in 2009 and was engineered by Lee Prebble at Surgery Studios.
