Following the completion of a nationwide New Zealand tour earlier in the year,
Wellington rock band Marystaple has announced their first set of UK/Europe dates as part of a 2-month tour during January/February 2009. This will be the bands first trip to the UK/Europe.

The band will be promoting their debut album, No Need To Be Nervous, which was released in May, as well as trialling some brand new songs earmarked for a follow up album to be recorded in UK during this time.
No Need To Be Nervous has been described as having a sound that is immediate, raw and, most importantly, captures the essence of a finely honed stage presence, whilst the band themselves have drawn comparison with artists such as Kings Of Leon, David Bowie, and NZʼs own Shihad.

The Otago Daily Times recently described Marystaple as ʻhands down the most exciting rock band in New Zealand at the momentʼ

Their recent No Need To Be Nervous tour received an overwhelmingly positive
response, with a sold out homecoming show in Wellington testament to the bands faithful live fan base and the bands reputation of delivering a staggering live show.
