Delta blues, big hair rock, power pop and metal – slam all that into a blender
and turn that sucker onto high!

Slidedriver are a rare combination of experience and energy funnelled into a
solid studio and live performance machine.

Slidedriver call on influences ranging from the Mississippi blues through to the
early Seattle grunge scene. There experience is hard fought in bands like
Pistol Grip, Street Beast, Jack-knife Disciples, The Values, Urinator, Mr Me and Flinch. This bands motivation is to put four on the floor rock and roll, back, front and centre, in a crumbled Christchurch music scene.

The bands debut single release “Heart Beat Over Runner” was recorded with
the backdrop of a shaking Christchurch city late 2011. The video for this track
dropped on YouTube September 2012 and had an unprecedented 18,000
views in the first week of release. The single is available from all the usual
online stores for streaming and download.

Slidedriver head back in the studio later this year to add the finishing touches
to what promises to be an amazing full player debut release. The bands goals
for 2012/2013 are to build on the strong underground response to the first
single with mainstream radio, social media, and selected live shows as there
priority targets.
