Emerald is a self-producing rapper/ singer-songwriter from Dunedin, New Zealand.

Influenced by such artists as Talib Kweli, Dessa (Of DoomTree), Nas, and De la soul.

"I try to be gut wrenchingly honest with my lyrics and approach it from a new angle. I like to find words for the things that circulate in your mind but never quite make it out your mouth".
