In 2007 in idea was formed by Xris and Tim to create a band that spoke of humanity in its reality, over a night of debauchery this idea took the form of Bow Messiah, bringing with it the most evil, heavy sound they could manufacture, and bringing an atheist based idea to life, with a flood of ideas the first songs were built, late 2008 with a few songs in the bank they recruited Jason on guitar to reinforce the backline and add depth to the sound, this was an instant success with the trio producing more and more songs to burn, Andrew was bought in to add the demonic growl they needed to back up the powerful tunes, the four then spent the next month’s refining the tracks and recording garage tracks they could build on, one last piece of the puzzle was needed so they found Steven to crank bass, with help from current manager Jake they had an opportunity to play some shows at good friend Al Parks bar, with some tweaking over the following months the band began to get regular gigs at Al’s and built up their rep within the scene, late 2009 after a few gigs under the belt they enrolled in that years global battle of the bands contest of which they walked out of winning, from their the established group set out to stamp their mark on the scene opening for some well-known local artists and international acts, as well as headling shows throughout Christchurch, Steven left the band in 2010 and the band recruited Troy to take over, late that year they hit the studio to produce their first studio based recording with 5 of the bands most defined songs, having good friends Sam Pryor and Elmore Jones produce 2011’s self-titled ep. From there the group continued to build on the base they had grown giging throughout the south island, the guys decided it was time for a boost and settled on a lower tuning and new gear and a whole new sound and crushing setlist , shortly after that Troy left the band for the bright lights of Australia and the group got in good friend of the band Vin who had toured with the band with his own group Plague of the Fallen, from there the band concentrated on refining the sound and performance of which landed them gigs with some of nz’s finest metal bands, the band was on the right track and now hit the studio once again to record a whole new ep, fresh, brutal and spine crushing!!
