An extraterrestrial envoy from the planet Nibiru. A murderous mechanoid escaped from the ruins of lost Atlantis. The last avatar of some long-forgotten cthonic deity.
Theories abound on the true origins and purpose of the mysterious being known as Radar Angel; no less so its colourful and cryptic companions who appear to have assumed the form of Wellington locals Bryan Gordon Moliere Tabuteau (keyboards/programming), Cordelia Woods (keyboards), and Shane Caldwell (drums). What cannot be denied is the uncanny effect elicited upon the unwary by the cool cacophony of synthetic sounds they emit - the rhythmic jerking of limbs, the involuntary shrieks of lust, the euphoric elation of ego-death.
Scholars and scientists remain baffled by this phenomena, provisionally dubbing it "retrosynth goth-pop". The earliest recorded sightings of Radar Angel come from Christchurch, going back to 2008; reports have been coming in from Wellington since 2016 and continue to increase in frequency and intensity.
Regrettably, and despite the dire warnings of the scientific and intelligence communities, an anonymous leaker has recently made a selection of highly classifed recordings of this phenomena available to the general public. This selection, dubbed Love & War, can be found on Bandcamp from 19/01/2019, and will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, and other streaming services shortly thereafter.
